ABOUT ME

Hello, my name is Tyler. I am from Tennessee, USA. I just moved back to Tennessee from Thailand and am researching my next destination. I am a full-time mental health therapist.

This blog might be right for you if you are going through a healing phase or want the motivation to start one. I will discuss topics such as healing from trauma, being a highly sensitive person, and coping with depression and anxiety. The blog will consist of a lot about my life and the ways I am healing and have healed through many things.

A little more about me.

I grew up in a small farming town in eastern Tennessee. I grew up with a mother, step-father, step-sister, and step-brother. My mother married my stepfather when I was five years old, and my biological father was never present. My birth father died when I was ten years old, and this led to periods of my life where I have blacked out memories of growing up. When I was 27 years old, I started to see a mental health therapist because there were parts of my life I couldn’t understand why I did things that weren’t normal. Seeing a therapist helped me gain hold of aspects of my life that I never knew were lost. I have been able to take a grip on my life and start changing for the better. I would be lying if I said my life was 100% perfect, but I am a work in process. I always recommend speaking with a professional if you have experienced trauma or having a tough time. Anything I share on this website comes from my current studies and therapeutic experiences. I hope you can gain knowledge, and I want you to know that you are not alone.
